This summer we’re moving our Blend Kitchen operations into new premises on 18 Pinstone Street, in the heart of Sheffield city centre. Unlike other cafes, bars and restaurants in the city centre, the purpose behind ‘Blend Kitchen’ is unique. Their mission is to “use the world of hospitality, food and cookery to make a real difference at a community level. To be a catalyst to improve health, life skills, employability and social cohesion”.
Since forming in October 2016, we’ve operated ‘pop up’ cafes and restaurants, street food events and specialty bistro nights across the city. In that time thousands of people have enjoyed the food Blend serve, while providing training to over 40 people and helping 15 move into paid employment. The menu at Blend Kitchen will be designed around the best in local, seasonal produce while taking inspiration from the cultures and communities that make up Sheffield.

For lunch there will be a selection of sandwiches to eat in or take away including Sheffield Cheese Masters ‘Little Mesters’ cheese with watercress and homemade apple and beetroot chutney.

The money raised from the campaign will be used to buy everything from a cooker to the potato masher, from the sinks to the veg peelers, from the fridges to the spatulas and from the hot plate to the tea spoons.
