2 courses with a selected drink =  £10 / 3 courses with a selected drink £14 (half price for under 11’s)

Every Thursday from 5pm at Blend Kitchen we host our ‘A Taste Of’ evenings where we serve a delicious 2 or 3 course inspired by the cultures and communities here in Yorkshire. Ranging from South Indian to Italian, A Taste Of is an affordable way to try something you may not have tried before.

Poppadum’s, chutneys and pickles ; selection of homemade chutneys and pickles served with cumin poppadum’s

To begin

Salmon; Salmon cured with coriander, kaffir lime, chilli and ginger served with pickled mooli and a thai basil dressing (gf)

Beef samosa; Slow cooked Whirlow Farm beef infused with chilli, anise and cumin in a crisp pastry case served with a watercress raita

Tempura broccoli; tender stem broccoli in a light tempura batter served with a lime, mirin, chilli and ginger dipping sauce (gt) (vg)

Tandoori Chicken; Chicken breast marinated in tandoori masala, yogurt and lemon served with bread and chutney (gt)

Smoked mackerel aloo bonda; tea smoked mackerel combined with a lightly spiced mashed potato in a crispy gram flour batter served with a tomato and ginger chutney (gf)

To follow

Baked Cod; Fillet of cod marinated in sumac and ras-el-hanout, with a roast pepper and smoked paprika sauce served on a bed of spiced chickpeas, spinach and slow roast shallots with tabbouleh (gt)

Whirlow Hall Farm Lamb; a celebration of Whirlow Hall Farm lamb served with saag aloo, aubergine and a rogan josh sauce (gf)

Vegetable Laksa; an aromatic spicy broth of coconut milk, ginger, chilli, garlic and lime with rice noodles, pak choi, green beans, tofu and peppers (vg /gf)

Antiguan Fish Tea Soup; A selection of seafood including mussels, clams, prawns, squid and cod in a spicy broth with yam, green banana  and sweet potato (gf)

Pork Satay; Skewers of pork marinated in lime, chilli, peanuts and fish sauce served with pak choi, green beans and peppers with roti and satay sauce (gt) (n)

To end

Caramelised pineapple tart; fresh pineapple baked in a rum caramel topped with puff pastry and served with vanilla ice-cream (please note these are baked to order and take 15 minutes to cook).

Coconut black rice pudding; black rice cooked with coconut milk served with mango jam (vg / gf)
